Access to White's estate via Footpath

Postby elainef on Thu Jul 16, 2009 9:04 pm

Hi Everybody

Recently a lady fell, had cuts and bruises especially to her face and was badly shaken. She was walking along the footpath which leads from Park Road bridge, alongside the railway line and into White's estate behind Tracey Drive, Cheshire Close and Conway Drive.

This footpath has been in a bad state of repair for years and despite repeated requests by locals to the Council, it has not been resurfaced for years. The footpath in question is, in the main, split into two. From the railway line to Cheshire Close and then restarts from Cheshire Close to Conway Drive. The lady in question fell in the second section between Cheshire and Conway.

So you might ask, what is this all about. Well I will tell you. After the accident was reported to St Helens MBC, they sent workmen to resurface the footpath. And yes you have guessed it, they resurfaced the not as bad first section and the second section where the accident took place is still in a dangerous state of repair.

Aw well, such is life. Yet another blunder maybe ...

You need to send an email (snotty the better) to St Helens MBC highlighting the daft, pointless time wasting day the workmen have completed.

With an email there is a paper trial and the council cannot ignore it.
